Rage Ensues Over Abra Three-hour Blackout For NGCP-Aboitiz Miscommunication

By Artemio A. Dumlao La Trinidad, Benguet (December 16, 2014) – Rage has ensued over a three-hour blackout Monday noon after an alleged communication lapse between the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) and the Aboitiz Power Renewables Inc. (APRI).

Dexter A. See BANGUED, Abra —Aboitiz Power Renewables (APRI) cut off power supply to this province on Monday, restored it after a few hours but angry residents threatened to sue the company for various charges, including the inconvenience of having no electricity, officials said.

Gov’t moves to oust watershed squatters
