  4. You have a point gayyem Toda. There are instances already where the COMELEC allowed a “toss coin” to determine a winner in the past elections. Actually, this is a viable solution to our problems during election where guns, gold and goons prevails. Let our legislators hear this: Allow the village folks to recommend two candidates for a position, those who are known to be trustworthy, capable, and has good track records. After-which a priest, pastors or a religious personality like Tagamasid, Kanaig, and Kabulyog will lead a prayer vigil to commence the lottery. Simple as that, we have a leader whom the people have recommended and approved by the Boundless Good, our Creator. Do you think this is “craziness” Pagayam Syoke? Think about it.

    • you got a point naeLing but those who will be recommending ,who knows they’ve got hidden interest and just recommend their own man?or how sure they will not be forced thru intimidation or coercion? TULONG TI DIOS? narigat ngata gagayyem,ta kaaduan nga satay to la malaguip ti NAMARSUA no tiempo ti RIGAT !!

  5. Pagayam Pagalsem, what you mention is an expected initial reactions. However, changes starts in the first step. If this will be enacted as COMELEC law, excessive funds that are being wasted during elections can be avoided. Instead, these can be used for more productive projects. If people will be used to this, a better setup can be employed. Perhaps a Barangay assembly will be called to establish rules on nomination. As time goes, we will see a better leaders to crop up with this system. And the best thing here is that, we allow God to intervene with this very important human activity.

    • Good Day. The barangay elections is over but i have a question. The re elected Brgy Captain in our Brgy has a an ongoing court trial because of violation of firearms last May 2013. Why did COMELEC allowed him to file candidacy? Can someone help me to where should i report this matter plus where can i report Graft and Corruption with the said Brgy Captain?
