Takit vs Dominic for Bangued Mayor
Who would ever thought it will come down to this? But again it’s politics…crazy things happen. For 9 years, the Bersamins and Valera/Bernos has maintained the political Status Qou, avoiding direct confrontation. But I guess something’s got to give. So here we are, a heavyweight bout featuring the top head huchos of each camp: Takit vs Dominic. The battleground…the capital town of Bangued.
Eustaquio “Takit” Bersamin is a 3-time Governor. He unexpectedly was catapulted to power in 2010 when sympathy votes (the assination of Chito Bersamin) enabled him to take down Vicsyd Valera. Bersamin is no longer a pushover as he has built his political influence for the past 9 years. He hinted in 2013 that he will bow out of politics at the end of his term. He has changed his mind since.
Dominic “Nic” Valera is the incumbent mayor of Bangued. He was the Mayor in 2007 but was foiled by Ryan Luna in his bid for re-election in 2010. He took back the position in 2013 from Luna, eventually ending the Luna’s political clout.
I think this contest is more crucial to the Bersamins than the Valeras. Takit Bersamin has to win. It’s an insurance for their political survival, in case his wife Ruby Bersamin fail to win the Governoship.
As for Dominic Valera, the odds is on his favor. Historically, incumbents usually wins re-election. A win would spell doom for the Bersamins.
In my personal opinion, the winner is still too close to call. My only hope is both gentleman should fight fair and square and let the people freely decide.

The governor won in 3 consecutive elections landslide with no parallel more votes than any other candidates in his 3 terms.The mayor lost once. For governor, our lady legislator never lost but unfortunately her performance and accomplishments appeared unsatisfactory to the eyes of most bloggers n constituents.Unfortunately, the opponent lacks experiences but depends much on the governor’s guidance n tutorship.

We have our own basis of voting. Some base it on the political track record, some base it on blood relation, some base it on popularity and some base on the amount of money given by the political candidates (the saddest truth and trend now a days). I can’t blame most of my fellow Abrenians sell their votes for a certain amount, they accept the money because of fear and poverty. But I know that even though they have now no choice, as they write the name of the politician, it is accompanied by hope. Hope that the name they have witten in their ballot will bring relief in their lives even at it’s minimum. This coming election two of the most powerful, rich, feared, loved and influential clan are facing each other in the hippodrome of politics. I just wish, hope and pray that it will be a peaceful election and not a bloody one. Love and respect in our hearts.

As for the PAGs ur boss will have a platoon of army n pnp to counter them if their boss is a die had for kokiglig. The valeras grp are now happy for what koliglig did to the PNP who helped him in 2007 it will serve as awakening for them not to side takit anymore.

My interpretation
it is right to answer one right with another right. Two rights make a right.
If carmelo/atoy barbero ruled abra for 19 years (1967-1988) and
vicsyd/ching valera ruled abra also for 19 years (1988-2007),
i would be mathematically correct when i say that the bersamin regime is about to end taking into consideration the chronological traces of political events in abra.
Others might have different interpretation but
whether we like or dislike we know that the bersamin’s time is up.
The 2016 local elections clearly indicate the vast political interest of takit bersamin-
for governor: bersamin
For vice governor:
For Board member: bersamin
Bangued
For mayor: bersamin
For vice mayor: bersamin

I see also high taxes that burdens the small businesses especially in the public market. I do not endorse Takit coz I know it will be same banana. Don’t we have any abrenian that sacrifice his personal interest to ran for municipal executive (mayor).
