Like a sword of Damocles hanging above every Abrenian’s head, the power supply for every household in Abra is a trouble waiting to happen anytime.
First APRI threatened to disconnect the power supply on November 17 and again on November 18.
In an updated email to abrenian.com today, APRI yet again postponed the disconnection of ABRECO for another day (November 19, 2014), subject to Abreco’s compliance to the following :
1. On time payment of their pending based on an agreed schedule
2. Membership to the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM)
The postponement was possible through negotiations with the Department of Energy (DOE).

No worries :):):)
Aloha Everyone!
Just want to straighten all the negatives going around….
GM Seares & his staffs is been working effectively under too much pressure…that, I give them a lot of credit.
One problem after the other is definitely a very stressing one. However, if it can be resolved, isn’t that wonderful?
I had been very quiet because I know how they take care of things. They had the same problem before and they learned their lessons. I met all the staffs last year and I see this “togetherness”….teamwork from everyone.
Napateg ti reputation para kaniada. They all worked hard putting together all that I needed to know when I went to see them.
This is the truth:
GM Seares paid off the whole amount the other day. Great news for everyone!
The total payable was P8.9Million plus penalty of P300,000+.
The reason why it came up to P13.8Million is because they added the November payment that was due Nov. 18th in the amount of P4Million.
So, there will be no “black-out” for ABRA!
For those who “yup” too much, let’s not be judgmental, okay?
Yes, no worries for you, Madam Omli because it is not you who will suffer. If the GM and his staff had been working effectively as you say, why did Aboitiz Power warn them of the impending blackout? Yes, they had the same problem before and the problem keeps coming back like a bad dream. You met them and you were so impressed. It is people like us who live in Abra who know the true collective persona of the GM and his board of directors. Yes, they are united, united in bringing ABRECO down. Haven’t you noticed, the GM and his cohorts can meet with you and tell you their supposed plans but they camnot meet with the consumer members who can ask them to liquidate all the funds of ABRECO since they took over? The people living in Abra have waited long enough for the GM and his cohorts to face them and answer their difficult questions. The people have suffered long enough. They will not believe you when you acquit the GM and his cohorts of wrongdoing when you are not even a resident of Abra. Would you have us believe that you know them better than we do just because you met them a few times? And what reputation do you believe the GM and his cohorts still have? If he had any decency left in him, he should resign ASAP. Your defense of the GM and his cohorts show how far removed from reality you are. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to differentiate good from bad. This mess at ABRECO has brought the province so much humiliation. It is the headline of both TV Patrol Ilocos and 24 Oras Ilocano. The board of directors of electric cooperatives in the region talk of how they are amazed at the seeing the luxury vehicles used by the GM and board of directors of ABRECO. Do you think they are that naive? After seeing the ABRECO mess hug the headlines for three days, don’t you think they know the answer? Remember, this is not the first time this happened. We are not blind and neither are we gullible, Madam Omli. This is the unvarnished truth. People are so fed up with the incompetence and dishonesty of people at the helm of ABRECO. They are waiting for a meeting with the GM and his cohorts. But the GM has not called for a meeting? Why, Madam Omli? Do they have anything to hide? You take offense at people who post their opinions on a post made by a person posing as your impostor but you do not take to task the impostor himself. Perhaps, the first time it happened, we can understand your defense of the GM and his cohorts because they may have fooled you. But it happened again and it will definitely happen again unless they are ousted and prosecuted. There is a saying, Madam Omli that goes this way, “You fool me once, shame on you, you fool me twice, shame on me.”
Mano ngata met t nabagi ni miss comli jay CAPITAL SHARE ta aponay lang t pinangisakit na ken GM Searesen yord? Uray siak met ah no adda maawat ko diak ket isakit met ta abrecon hehehe….
PAY UMAPAL KA MANEN NAKISALBAG KA NGA RABONG
Great news to everyone? From Aloha Maui, the great defender of Abreco leadership and management. But to Abrenians who lived on anxieties for these last days was no great news because the problem that almost fell on us again does not commensurate with our diligence of paying our duties as consumers.
Our Question is “why did GM Seares wait for the final warning before he settled his obligation. Where did the money come from? Logic dictates that he should had paid earlier after several warning if the amount was available. ( is it possible that it came from RA 7171, to the disadvantages of the crocodiles with the endless cursed of the poor Virginia tobacco farmers ?)
If you’re trying to make a good impressions Ms. Omli, I think you’re out of the equation. The Abreco business has been a dismal for many years and yet you’re the only one telling us it’s okay. What do you think of the majority of us? If you’re still thinking to run any elective position in the future, you’re already dead on arrival for what you’re doing now is a political suicide. You may kiss now your dream goodbye! Sorry…..
How dare of you threatening a woman and yet you don’t have the balls to say your true identity. Natured ka nga agsao

Why are you reading between the lines literally? It’s just a figure of speech!

You be careful. Ta sika ti mapasabatan ti long distance bullet. Agkumot ka ketdi coz you do not have the balls to expose your identity. Tarkok!
Why are you now stooping on my level? What kind of educated woman you really are?
I am not referring to you Kaarruba. It just so happen my comment was posted twice. SORRY!

as long as we all have electricity no problemo i seat back and relax run the tv open the fridge grab some beer and my warek warek na polo tan turn on the air-conditioned what else folks….
do you all still hate the GM ? hope not….BUT PLEASE SAY THANK YOU TO GM OF ABRECO FOR DOING HIS JOB and to all HIS staff … mabuhay po kayong lahat…JOB WELL DONE ..SALODO PO KAMI SA INYONG LAHAT LALO NA KAY GM…O ANO SUPER LIKE NAMAN KAYO DIYAN MGA KABABAYAN…
That’s right Kanyobong!
With all due respect, KANYOBONG, it was not the GM who paid Aboitiz Power. It was ABRECO. Please do not confuse our people. Mr. Loreto Seares, Jr. is not ABRECO and ABRECO is not Loreto Seares Jr. The truth of the matter is Loreto Seares Jr. has treated ABRECO like he owns it. ABRECO had to pay a fine of 300,000 PHP because it could not settle its arrears on time. Imagine the financial injury caused by mismanagement. ABRECO is strapped for cash as it is and the 300,000 PHP fine it had to pay was an added burden. Has it ever occured to you that the ordinary employees of ABRECO are enduring endless suffering – late payment of salaries, non- remittance of salary deductions to the pertinent government agencies – BIR, SSS, PAGIBIG, PHILHEALTH. Add to that, the retirement pay which is given like alms.
Some day, God will purge this world of evil. It is up to you to decide on whose side you’re on.

20 YEARS OLD, granting for the sake of argument that GM Loreto Seares Jr. only inherited the problem of ABRECO, why can’t he call a meeting where he can explain what problem he inherited and what he has done about it? He should also liquidate all of the funds from his takeover to the present. If he has nothing to hide, why can’t he face the consumer members? The truth hurts but the truth can also set you free. You feel the GM is being persecuted but he is sticking to ABRECO like a leech. He must really love being persecuted. By the way, I have always paid my bills early. Please don’t give me the bull that the reason ABRECO is in trouble is because many consumers are not paying their bills. That is a very lame excuse. Why will I thank ABRECO for electric power that I am paying for? You can thank the GM and his cohorts all you want for solving the problem they themselves created. The truth of the matter is GM and his cohorts are treating ABRECO as their cash cow. Now if you have benefitted from the plunder of funds of ABRECO, I will understand why you feel the way you do. That aside, find out how much cash advances the GM and his cohorts will have to liquidate. Perhaps that will wake you up from your stupor.
SHOULD THE GM OF ABRECO SEEK FOR YOUR APPROVAL WHEN THEY DO CASH ADVANCES MR PEDRO ABRENO ???
There is no such thing as a stupid question MR PEDRO ABRENIO….. is a popular phrase that has had a long history. It suggests that the quest for knowledge includes failure, and that just because one person may know less than others they should not be afraid to ask rather than pretend they already know. In many cases multiple people may not know but are too afraid to ask the stupid question the one who asks the question may in fact be doing a service to those around them…..

A piece of advise Gm and directors to please resign now!!!!
WHY SHOULD THEY RESIGN WE STILL HAVE ELECRICITY
YOU MR DICK SHOULD QUIT ERECTING HAHAHAHA..
@Col. DICKSON…I am not taking sides. I was only relaying that the Abreco. Debt is paid and there will be no more “black-out”.
My impression of the GM & his staff is my personal opinion . I based my opinion from the several conversations & meetings I had with them last year . I never met before the GM but I was impressed how he handled himself.
Remember now…I went home (at my own expense) to meet with Sec Petilla, CDA, Aboitiz, & NEA to verify if the GM is up-to-date with his reports & he was. I was given copies of all the reports & if I found anomalies I was ready to tell GM to step-down. But like Sec Petilla, me, too agree that he should
continue to remain the GM. We have our reasons.
THE PAYMENT HE JUST MADE TO RECTIFY THE PAST DUE WERE ALL FROM THEIR COLLECTIONS FOR 4-DAYS. They all worked so hard.
The only findings I found not conforming are the advances of so many that needs to be collected.
The COA audit before his takeover was bad according to the report. I am sure it was published here at abrenian.com . I saw it.
Again, whatever it is about
Cont’d….@Col. DICKSON
Again, whatever it is about his personal business and his life is non-of our business .
One thing for sure….he loves his family!
@ Col. DICKSON…..I care so much for the welfare of the people of Abra! Why do you think I am staking my life & money?
I had been very vocal about what is happening in Abra. I am doing my best to find resolutions about the ongoing concerns of the people of Abra. I lead them how to go about filing complains and writing letters to the right agencies of the people…of course with our movement’s support…SAVE ABRA MOVEMENT & my NGO, Save Lives and Save Dignity, Inc. (www.save-lives-and-save-dignity.org).
The following are abrenian concerns we’re working just to let you know…
1. APH
2. COA Audits for the last decade. We want all the money to goback to the people.
3. Capcapo Mining Operation who are continuously digging & ignoring the Indigenous Rights to their properties & it’s culture
4.PDAF/IRA accounting
5. Unsolved murders
6. SALNs not filed
I maybe away from home but my heart is in Abra.
Ms COMLI2013, you have mentioned a lot of things that you and your NGO are working for the betterment of ABRA,has any of them resulted in any fruition or resolution of which the guilty party been complied, corrected , arrested or punished?
Can you at least give an example wherein your efforts bear fruit for the betterment of ABRA.
KITAM NI HATER KASLA NALA MAAWATAN TAY INGLISH NAN

Cont’d….@Col. DICKSON
Again, whatever it is about his personal business and his life is non-of our business .
One thing for sure….he loves his family!
I was forced to pay capital share because the GM said it was mandatory. I believe I am perfectly within my rights to demand where the money has gone. I likewise believe that the personal business of the GM has become everyone’s business because he is living beyond his means and ABRECO is in a gigantic mess. Who does not love his or her family? Everyone can see that the GM surely loves his family with the way their lifestyle has changed. Madam Omli, please save Abra from Loreto Seares Jr. and his ilk. For once, take the side of the long-suffering people.

KOTIBENG, I will not answer inane posts. Your language shows the kind of education you had and the sad failure of your folks to raise you as a decent and civilized person.
THEN WHO ARE YOU MR PEDRO ABRENO

Mrs. OMli PLs support the candidacy of MEDEL TAVERNER to be the next GM of abra…
Correction: I lead them how to go about filing complains & writing letters to the right agencies of the Gov”t ( not agencies of the people ).
I think this Madame Omli is receiving a monthly stipend enough to cover-up the true sad plight of Abreco. Please be honest with yourself for once ma’am for it seems you’re acting like in the twilight zone? You’re sending us mixed signals! Or, are you just using your NGOs for a ride with a hidden personal agenda?
That’s not true Kaarruba. I haven’t had communication with Abreco since last year despite the many emails I sent. I was very disappointed. However, I thought they might be very busy & it was okay for me.
I don’t need to be compensated to express my opinions.

Getting the attention of DOH to look into the APH . Is an accomplishment. It’s under investigation to what I know.
We had compliments from abrenians about the exposure of the COA audits. The audits was posted in facebook by Norma Hennessy, a member of the movement.abrenians now know about the anomalies in the present administration. Again this is an accomplishment.
Eventually, as you all know they will be prosecuted like the . Rest who are now serving imprisonment…Sen.Estrada Sen. Revilla, & The old man.
We cannot of course get into all the matters but we are working on them. We follow-up. We make phone calls. Somehow, something will come through.
The latest we’re working on is the Capcapu Mining Operation in Baay-:Licuan. They are running that operation without an EIS ( Environmental Impact Assessment) , Waste Treatment Development Plan. & No Permit.they are in violation of some laws & keep ignoring the Indigenous Rights. ..and so on.
I am inspired working for the abrenians. I don’t know about you. Have you done anything at all?
I have done some and still continue to do so. I don’t broadcast or brag about it
Good for you, Me Off! Keep up the good work.
It’s not bragging or broadcasting when someone ask or thinks you don’t care
Thats what you call CIVILITY.
