Governor Takit Bersamin wants to leave his legacy on his last term as Governor

BANGUED, Abra, July 10 (PIA) — Governor Eustaquio “Takit” P. Bersamin convened a special meeting of different government agencies last week to help in the identification and implementation of priority industries that will bring “wealth and livelihood for the people at the same time preserve the cultural integrity of Abra.”

Bersamin requested everyone in the meeting to help him realize his commitment in his last term as governor saying, “While we have already put the physical infrastructures in place, it is about time we push for the industries that could provide livelihood for our people.”

He asked the agencies to give priority attention to the industries that are already existing especially those that are in line with the one-town one-product of the province – the bamboo-based industries – to sustain the identity of Abra as the “bamboo capital of Northern Luzon.”

Bersamin further urged the body to solicit the participation of people involved in the natural dye industry as he expressed openness to the participation of everyone who could help in the restoration of the natural dye of the province. Abra is where the natural dye for fabric originated.

The governor also disclosed that on his third term, he will also focus on the road concreting in the uplands so that everyone gets his share in the fruits of development in our province.

“I want to leave my legacy to our people in Abra when my term as governor ends. That I have served them well and I have done all the things that I have promised because I want to see a more progressive Abra and the people living here,” Bersamin said in closing. (JDP/MTBB- PIA CAR,Abra)

  1. If Gov. Takit can have roads to and from the upland communities cemented in a manner that would pass scrutiny on standard and cost, the people of Abra would be forever indebted to him. It would be a legacy written in stone, one that would be remembered for ages. Nobody has ever done that. It would certainly bring progress to the people living in the upland communities because trade and commerce will flourish. It would make life for people in the upland communities a lot easier and prices of basic commodities will become lower. Travel time will be greatly reduced and the number of accidents will surely be diminished. It may even be the single biggest factor that would help solve the insurgency problem because our people in the upland communities will feel that the government cares for their welfare. I hope this is not just lip service and the governor will make good on his promise. We will be watching.

  3. Pudno nga nagistayan amin adda balbalayda ditoy Bangued. Dagitoy napipintas nga balbalay ti napanan ti pondo ti IRA nga para development koma diay ilida! What a shame, but they got no shame! Agpasiar kayo ti Sabado ken Domingo ti gallera ditoy agtangaw, Narvacan, sta Maria n Santa, mamayores ti Abra ti adu dita. Dagitoy ti tattao nga nga nagsara nga aglamlamot ti para koma ti pagimbagan ti tattao da . Mr. Gov. I believe you are partly accountable being the ‘father’ of these wayward sons performances. Like the proverbial doctrine ” spare the rod, spoil the child”. Do something for the sake of our hungry and suffering people not only in the hinterlands but also true here in the lowland. Prove your worth as a true leader, otherwise you may leave the obnoxious image as backling as some claimed.

We pray together that sen. Lacson will accept to head the anti-corruptions commission offered by the president to strengthen his Matuwid na Daan Compaign. An iron hand is what we need to neutralize this kind of Pilipino mentality. No matuloy nga awatenna, sigurado tumulang ti pigerger dagitoy abusado nga agtuturay.

Gov. Please do something about this, accountable ka dito. Your projects is your image, your legacy to your constituent.
Sir, gov. For further guidance, please listen to the wisdom of Pedro Abrenio, Gerionimo, Lavander, River Cross and most especially use more time reading the Holy Scripture where you can find true wisdom and guidance not possible from human mind.

  8. That’s right, you will convene all government agencies, national and local, and find out how much their allotment/fund were and learn how they deceitfully justified their spending with all kinds of shenanigans. 10% SOP for every agency/entity? Puro kalokohan talaga, remember the case of Enrile, Estrada, Revilla, etc?
Time is of the essence, please stop now being a HYPOCRITE of the highest degree like some of our lawmakers and other shenanigans of the entire government institution? Show us good examples for our youth to emulate not just something only for compliance purposes para sa mga madaling maiyalis ang alipospos!!! Please think wisely not shrewdly for good now before it’s really too late. God really love and give a second chance to those who want to repent and live just a peaceful and meaningful life. Ask Pedro Abrenio……..

  11. Dakkel ti pammatk ti kinapudno day toy commission nga maipabpasol ken gov.. Bawasbawas naman, adda la ket maitedmo kadagit agkasapulan nga marigrigat. In the book of Matthew 5, amongst, Jesus said ” blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain mercy” . Genuine kindness begets heavenly kindness. Kindness thru or by deceit will bring you to His curse.

Dakdakkel pay ti pammatik nga kaaduan ti pammabasol kenca gov. ket nagrusing iti apal. Kallabes ngamin nga nagtuturay ket everybody happy with the boys ( mamayores). But you gambled to eradcate this TRAPO’s style by taking the whole responsibility thru exclusive implementation of all projects by yourself. Your inspiration of such gamble is the consistent total trust of the people , their overwhelming supports for you in three elections. But everything is not red roses on your unique scheme, it appears thru carefull scrutiny that people whom you trust are not implementing projects to the desired standards. This is the weakest link. Panngaasim ta supervisam nga naimbag ti pannakaaramidda ta dagitoy ti batong laguip nga makonkona, a lasting remembrane of your dedication to your job. Awan pay nagturay ti Abra ti nakaaramid ti infra projects kas naaramidam, uray pagtitipunen ti gapuanan dagiti kallabes nga agtuturay ti 30 nga ttawen! Your compaign for peace is also commendable and beyond compare ! because of these, We continue to pray for God’s guidance and blessings.
