Text message leads cops to teen murder suspect in Abra

By Artemio Dumlao (philstar.com)

LA Trinidad, Benguet – A text message from an unidentified tipster led policemen to an 18-year-old murder suspect in Bangued town in Abra province on Tuesday.

Police said that a tipster texted that a certain Rommel Berona Soriano was at the Detachment Videoke Bar and Restaurant along Washington Street, Zone 2.

The tipster informed the police that Soriano is a murder suspect.

After Soriano was invited to the police, investigators searched for the teenager’s records and found out that he is facing a case of frustrated murder for a killing on Nov. 14, 2012 and two more counts of murder for another incident last Jan. 28, 2013.

Police said that Soriano will be presented to the local courts handling his cases.

  3. PNP in Action! Hope that they could prove us wrong that justice in the province is already dead.
Don’t worry Sirs/Madams, everybody dies and only God knows where, how, and when. Dying courageously of doing the right thing is nobler than dying with prostituted/corrupted wealth or ugly impressions behind your name. You will be remembered exactly as you wanted.
