The indelible ink has not been removed from voters’ fingers, COMELEC has not announced FORMALLY all the winners of these elections, and I personally was about to take some time off from all these Election dramas BUT yet we are now getting reports that the purge has started in the Municipality of Bangued.
According to my sources, the new administration has already taken over the Munisipyo. This is just a day after they were proclaimed. Salaries of casual employees in Bangued are now being held. These employees are now afraid. But wait, isn’t the elected officials can only assume office after June 30th? But even then why would they do this to the lowly empoyees who’s only fault is they worked with the previous administration? Is this vendetta! Am sure more to come on this mopping up operations.
Jueteng resumes
Also during the course of the campaign period, Jueteng sieze to operate and this seems to be the “modus operandi” of politicians. Politicians purposely stop Jueteng operations to cut ordinary folks (e.g. Kabo) on their only source of income. This way, people who are dependent on Jeuteng will be pressured to take the politicians payoffs in exchange of their votes.
Now that the election is over, I heard that the number game is set to start on the 16th of this month. Already a certain Rexone Festejo has gathered all the kabos to issue them their “numbers”. for everyone’s information, in jueteng, if you don’t have a number, you can’t solicit bets.
Looks like politicians are in a hurry to get back what they’ve spent during the elections! Problem is, they are doing this at the expense of our poor Abrenians.
