Bangued, Abra. A nursing student was killed by her live-in partner yesterday due to alleged jealousy.
The victim identified as Maria Imee Quintero, 21 from Sta Rosa, Bangued, was stabbed 17 times by his live-in partner of 5 years, Christian Acena.
The suspect tried to kill himself after committing the crime by slashing his wrist but failed. He was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Acena is now at the Bangued jail awaiting trial. (abrenian.com)

My condolence and sympathy to their families who maybe until now still blaming each other for this unexpected heart-breaking event. My humble advice is: please stop blaming each other and bravely accept that it’s part of a painful destiny driven by a very possessive kind of love which really dangerous and unpredictable. They cannot control their emotion or feeling and so fearless to face whatever the consequence because of their very still young age. Anybody would or could suffer this regardless of their nationality/ethnicity, so please don’t blame your children either. We believed that you did your best as their parents which you don’t deserve self-pity or guilty conscience. Be smart to move on and please don’t put the law into your hand because a mistake can not be corrected by another mistake. Trust our system justice to prevail otherwise divine justice will take the rest. Maintain your christian values and fear your God at all times.
