Lagangilang,Abra – The NPA-Abra admitted that there was an encounter (reported earlier) between them and the 41st Infantry Brigade but denies that 4 of their members were killed.
In a press statement sent to abrenian.com. Diego Wadagan, NPA-Abra Spokesperson, accused the Military of illegaly detaining 4 farmers from Kayapa. The 4 were identified as Anacleto “Killito” Tugade, Ceferino “Boying” Poclani (Barangay Kagawad ng Kayapa), Jemmy Esmie Bageng, and Bonifacio “Pacio” Bagang.
The 4 were later released but not before threatening them not to report what happened to them, according to the statement.
NPA-Abra also accused the military for mauling another resident of kayapa indentified as Meymar Alcantara. (abrenian.com)
