CAMP BADO DANGWA, Benguet—Two days after the crime,the suspect in the killing of an Abra town councilor and his brother was arrested by police authorities on Friday, December 7, 2012, belated reports said.
Chief Supt. Benjamin Magalong, Cordillera police chief identified the suspect as Dante Zapata, 30, single and a resident of sitio Tapayen, Alaoa, Tineg, Abra.
Zapata , was tagged by witnesses as one of those who murdered Rey Lanag Tandi, 43, municipal councilor of Tineg and his brother Roy Lanag Tandi, 37, farmer. Both residents of Alaoa, Tineg, Abra.
Both were ambushed in Barangay Bangangaw, Alaoa.
The victims, according to investigation were on board a motorcycle from Sitio Naranan heading towards Barangay Alao when they were shot.
Roy died on the spot while died at the Abra provincial hospital while undergoing treatment.—larry madarang
