Abra mayors surrender firearms in new round of peace talks

BAGUIO CITY—Four Abra mayors surrendered their firearms on Saturday after the latest round of negotiations with the police, which was part of a strategy initiated by civic groups that vowed to remove the province from the list of election hot spots in next year’s elections.

Mayors Estelita Bersamina of Lacub, Wilma Gattud of Tubo, Esther Bernos of Danglas and Jaja Josefina Disono of Pilar turned over three shotguns, a rifle and two pistols, reports from the Cordillera police office showed.

  2. Ay….mga mayores mi…adda met gayam sense of humor yo…he..he..he….you just want us to smile secretly or just insulting us?
Well, we’ll just hope that nothing happens in your respective jurisdiction like harassment and the like by the use of gun force on or during the election for us to further believe that indeed you are honest not hypocrites.
Voters vote with your conscience, don’t be afraid for it’s very convincing that the police force are really serious in protecting now your right of suffrage especially your dignity or precious life. Always exercise your faith in Him and by doing the right thing, you will never feel worries or fears anymore throughout the rest of your life.
Dakkel nga talaga ti diperensiya na no awan FAITH mo agsipud ta kankanayon ka nga madandanagan, agbutbuteng iti awan no dadduma ken amangan no saan mo payen mapuotan nga nervous breakdown wenno high-blood ti mangpatay kenka. Numona ket nagngina pay met ngarud iti agas while building your FAITH is always free and available thru the help of your priests, preachers, or true believers. GOD BLESS US ALL..!!!

  3. That is a nice style of getting into the news. Inut- inot nga ‘arms surrender’ -saggaysa! Kaanun-to man ngatan ta next nga lima wenno pito? If they really have the good intention to surrender arms, ay ke, isu-render da koma a daytay nakapat-papati nga bilang met ti armas. Apay, ipagarup da ngata nga neng-neng amin nga makabasa iti news ta despite the fact nga agkaraywara ti paltik nga homemade kas kada anya dita nga paltoog, ket uppat kas kada lima met laeng ti maibingay da nga ipallatok? Asus, porjus kunak! Dagitay ket ngata napili da dagita a idiay koleksyon da nga agmintis nga agbaliktad ti firing na!

  4. hopefully this is not just a disguised! baka met insuko da lang tay dadduma ngem gayam ad-adu ti nakalemmeng nga armas da a gamiten da nu kampanya da. Mga politiko maawa naman kayo sa mga botante, laban kayo ng patas, wag kayong manakot. kung di nyo makuha ang mga botante sa tingin o sa pera wag gamitin ang iyong kapit lalo na ang baril. Let them decide by their own. Don’t manipulate the voters. Maging tapat naman po kayo!

  6. Napinpintas nga adayo daytoy panagisurender ti bassit nga bilang ti armas dagiti mamayores ngem idi kallabes nga admistration ti piman nga gov. Idi maraid ,by exploited police force, ti balbalay ti opposition n their leaders. Pati tanki ti military naaramat nga pangharass ti pangtaengan dagiti oppositions. Ngem dagitoy saggaysa nga naisurender ket sigurado nga bulok ken awan pay 10 percent tay urnongda.

Our greatest hope for an honest, clean and peaceful election is the nonpartisan of police force n AFP.
