THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Abra Electric Cooperative (ABRECO)
Capitulacion Street, Calaba
Bangued, Abra

Gentlemen:

We, as bone fide members of ABRECO, and pursuant to Section 20 of the Amended By-Laws of Abra Electric Cooperative, respectfully request that a Special General Assembly be called by the Board of Directors on December 16, 2012 at the cooperative’s principal place of business to consider urgent matters requiring immediate membership decision.

As you may be fully aware of, ABRECO has always been under threat of disconnection of power supply owing to its failure to pay the cost of energy supplied and delivered by AP Renewables, Inc. This is a pressing concern that requires immediate membership action and decision on how to meet ABRECO’s contractual obligations, to consider the possible revamp of key officers, and most importantly to improve the management of its affairs to prevent similar problem in the future.

It is also requested that all the members of the Board of Directors, the General Manager, and other key officials of ABRECO be required to attend the Special General Assembly to be called by the Board.

Thank you for your prompt action on this request.

 Very truly yours,

CONCERNED MEMBERS OF ABRECO

  1. Can we also request a representative from the Cooperative Development Authority on this meeting for record purposes.

  2. Just let the bank/s take-over Abreco with certain conditions/limitations.
    Hire incorruptible corporate attorney to fight for your cause.

  3. Stop talking and move for the drafting of a complaint for SYDICATED ESTAFA OR QUALIFIED THEFT as the case maybe. let consumers and coop members sign the complaint affidavit and file it directly at the DOJ in Manila. Adu unay si sao aggaraw tayun pumirma tayun tapno maibalud ti maibaluden.

      • Take the comments of both Kakashin and Dayaoen those are things that are moving towards getting the problems and issues resolved. Sorry Drunken it seems i’m following all your posts and commenting. Its just too easy thats why. Again DO SOMETHING go on the 16th and voice your opinion. You might even look good if you steal Dayaoen’s idea and use those as yours on at the assembly. I won’t even say a thing I would just applaud and think to myself I’ve heard this before haha…

      • Well you are so wrong once again, but then again what can we expect from a DRUNKEN MASTER. Ranting and raving is all you do. Like I said make your voice heard.

        Honestly your not evening reading some threads. Abreco is a COOPERATIVE and you as a general member have a voice lest yours be with a little basi on it. You say you don’t need to borrow ideas but your ideas are so far fetched that they can not be achieved. Read your statement above. OK we will freeze bank accounts, is that really feasible? Yes you may need to borrow ideas then.

        Again you post comments that you have no bearing on and are just commenting because you are mad at the facts that I am pointing out to you. DO SOMETHING POSTIVE nothing will change if you just keep talking with your drunken self. LIke I once said put the gin blue down and clear your mind.

        Posted by STOP HATING. | December 14, 2012, 7:40 pm
        • it is posible to freeze a bank acount for those involved a scam like d abreco. u r bright bec madam x hire u to repute d coments against them. ur ideas have bearing infavor to a corupt politicians. wy nt use ur ideas for d gov to realize dat he s corrupt like othdmr politician in abra

          Posted by drunken master | December 14, 2012, 10:01 pm
        • Ok Drunken I will do as you say as soon as you learn to spell and express your ideas clearly. Due process is what every individual is entitled to, what your talking about is taking all that away. Rights isn’t that the basic then why would you want to take that away without due process. Clearly you can’t be in charge.

  10. heres my 5 cents worth kakailian:
    1. tha abreco board should ask for the creation of a crisis commitee to handle d situation, to be headed by gov takit, reps from private sector, ngo like ccagg, natl govt agencies like NEA/DOE and CDA;
    2. this crisis committee to hire consultants (highly professional) to help form an interim management team ( it means the current abreco management will be relieved) to handle d day to day affairs of abreco until its operation returns to normal (w/c means financial obligations settled and financial standing stablized);
    3. crisis committee ensures smooth transition of management (from the current to the interim manangement and to the new longterm management thereafter) including pursuing investigations (and criminal or civil cases against those found responsible to d mismanagement of abreco)…

    note: 1st things 1st, there should be due process and well planned course of actions… and the immediate need of d member consumers should be prioritized…

  11. Good points Apo Dayaoen, but what if that Crisis Committee and interim Management Team have the same feathers similar with the present Abreco officers? Why don’t we just find some legal ways for a certain bank (private/government bank) to take over it? Let transfer the headaches in the meantime and when everything back to normal, maybe our parents and teachers would be able then to produce trusted abrenians to take care our affairs, privately and publicly if still none at all of the politicians mentioned by Rimat Ti Abra (in other topic) to act courageously as our front candidates by 2016 Election. It makes me sick for we had been waiting for a long time for these kind of front leaders but they have no enough guts to come out in the open and allowed themselves to be used as our ultimate saviors against continuous destruction or humiliation of our beloved province!
    How much longer more we have to wait?
    I am begging President Aquino or DLG Secretary to seriously consider our province as one of the beneficiaries of his “Matuwid Na Daan” by fielding the said candidates on 2016 Election, observed and guaranteed by one of our most concerned Abrenians as the true pillars of the province.

  12. CORRECTION; They will run as governor, congressman, and other top posts by 2016 Election if we want our province to move forward and never looks back which we can be proud of it with genuine dignity and respect!
