  1. Would someone explain to the consumers how the General Manager of ABRECO able to retain his job considering that he has not displayed any sense of competency as well as honesty in the performance of his responsibilities?

How many bailouts does it need for the powers that be before they realize the STUPIDITY and CORRUPTION of this person?? Or are his superiors just as STUPID & CORRUPT???

FOR GOD’S SAKE, FIRE HIS ASS!!!

  2. Would anyone explain how they paid the debt? I’m just wondering, I’m sorry to ask frankly but ARE these people on the govenrment benifiting from the ABRECO itself. Or it is just some sort of campaign strategy for letting everyone know another acomplishment they did. . . Just askin.

  5. how do you fire a GM for a cooperative? is this something that the members should vote on? the board of directors perhaps? Does the governor has the power to kick his ass?

  6. Firing the GM is not enough.Cases of corruption should be file on court against this gung gong GM. Abra people gumising kayo.. Check your electric bills and you will notice na palaki ng palaki ang binabayaran nating kuryente. Tayo ang nagbabayad sa mga nakurakot ng GM and his accompliance!!

  9. I can not understand you people. You do not even know who the gm you are talking to? Let me tell you something about him for you to know the background before you say, “fire him”, “gung-gong”, “real crook”, “stupid”, “corrupt”, etc etc. His name is- LORETO “JUN” SEARES, the eldest son of Atty Loreto Seares, current presiding judge of Tayum Municipal Trial Court. From Zone 4, Bangued, Abra, Philippines.
Son-in-law of gov takit and the cousin of cong joy bernos. The nephew of former cong cesy luna.
He is the only General Manager of Abreco that is UNDERGRADUATE. In the history of this electric cooperative, he is the most corrupt ever. You know what?
He even spend the capital share of the 45,000 member-consumers!Up to the last centavo! Until today, he is spending what he is collecting from them.
Who are we going to blame to? The BOD who appointed him? The corrupt elected gov’t officials? No! You people of Abra. All of us (except the innocent young ones).
I am from Pasay City but I know that. You guys, don’t? Oh come on. What wake…

      • I am the GUNGGONG but you are the GALONGGONG!
Have you heard of NASECORE urging the Energy Regulatory Commission to conduct audit on the Abreco overcollection of 22,535.410.86 in 2008?
Another thing, if the Abreco fails to recover revenues sufficient to meet its total revenue requirement, it may not increase its rates to cover the increase in cost for subsequent years. Ensuring the present consumers will not be required to pay for past deficits for Abrecp om their future payments.
Abra has long been in the DARK

  17. Is there any existing law that allows the government to take over a bankrupt public-oriented business? There’s no more solution for this mess unless they will voluntarily return what they have stolen which is impossible. Another option is for the consumers with the guidance of our posters here (excluding me) to bring them into court where emergency special auditing will be conducted by trusted and fully guarded independent firm. If they will be found guilty or the other way around, either way, there’s no moral cause for our provincial government and the Court to prolong the agony unless they are likewise benefited with the proceeds or profits of this public-oriented business.

    Posted by bodowan | November 17, 2012, 6:19 am
    • You may have a point here Bodowan. A consumer lead suit against the GM may be the way to go if The governor and the congresswoman continue cuddling GM Seares. Maybe a signature drive to boot his ass out of office.

      Posted by abraham | November 17, 2012, 10:59 am
      • the only remedy so as not to prolong our agony (ABRECO CONSUMERS)is not to add another terms for the incumbent governor and congresswoman for they are coddling the manager of abreco

  18. If our existing provincial government or Court are reluctant to end this mess, why don’t we seek the intervention of DILG Sec. Roxas that he might be able to bring us permanent light in lieu of this darkness that always threatening us?

  19. This is like Abra is under the sword of Damocles or a dead man walking with the continued grip of power of the GM.

  20. firing out d GM is not enough. he has to answer for his doings. if he is fired who will then answer for the millions that is lost??? fire him and file cases against him. no haan isu akin aramid which is unlikely, he still has to answer for his subordinates. command responsibility yan! Adda kuma panagmaymaysa amin nga members so that we will demand a thorough investigation/accounting of what is transpiring in abreco. this is too much. nakaron nga panangidadanes kanyata tayo nga marigrigat nga members iti ar-aramiden dagitoy sinal-it nga officials ti abreco. its a wonder how they could do such crimes and get away with it!!! sinno aya ti pagsang-sangiran da that it looks like they have so much confidence with what they are doing???!!! pang-ngaasi yo nga poltit-ticos haan na kami nga iraman kadagiti sinairo nga aramid yo. simple nga panagbiag la ti kasapulan mi ket parte na dayta iti adda kanayon nga silaw mi isu uray kasano iti rigat mi iti panagbiag, isapul mi iti panagbayad mi ti kureyente mi. haan nga kasali dita iti panagtakaw yo iti pinagrigrigatan mi nga kwarta sinal-it kayo!!!
