APRI issues 3rd disconnection notice to ABRECO

AP Renewables, Inc. (APRI) issued a  third disconnection notice to Abra Electric Cooperative (ABRECO) due to outstanding financial obligations and failure to fulfill its commitment as part of a restructuring program. The disconnection will take effect at 12 noon on November 12, 2012.

In September 2012, APRI was scheduled to suspend the delivery of power to ABRECO after its payable reached 52 Million Pesos. The disconnection was averted due to the timely intercession of Gov. Eustaquio Bersamin and Cong. Jocelyn Bernos. ABRECO also committed to settle its financial obligations on time, provide fully funded check payments, and process its registration to the WESM. Unfortunately, all these have not been fulfilled.

“We are once again hoping that ABRECO will put the best interest of the consumers of Abra. We reiterate our desire to come up with a fair and reasonable resolution of this issue at the soonest possible time for the betterment and well being of the people of Abra,” APRI Senior Vice President Juan Alfonso said.

  5. I am not saying that the province of Abra has been doomed/cursed into different form of hardships but why do the innocent abrenian majority will suffer the most? It is my humble opinion that the main reason was not political alone but it could be due to lack of spiritual knowledge engraved in our hearts and minds that supposedly championed by now by the different religious sectors. They are still failing to circumsize the hearts of the idolatrous (worshiping others rather the one and only God who delivered the Israelites out of Egypt) thus the sufferings of the abrenians majority seem at no end. I am urging these selected or entrusted soldiers of faith to redouble their efforts or “Callings” for the forgiveness of our sins against idolatry and others in order for us to receive mercy or grace that might end this DOOM or CURSE inflicted upon us.

  10. Stupidity reigns allowing the ABRECO manager stay in office! How difficult is it to fire an ill-performing employee if not the indifference of those “powers” that be?? He should have been shown the door initially when the troubles started!! The guy is a thief and an incompetent boob!

    • Love of money is the root of all evil.Money per se is neutral. Most philantropists have money and they use it for betterment of human kind. You can not say that money is the root of evil.

  16. Husto ta kunam MEOFF ngem kaadduan na kadagitoy philanthropists are just doing it for tax purposes, advertisement for their businesses, gaining political/personal admiration, and some may even think that they can impress or bribe God. But HE knows what’s in our hearts and HE judges based upon on our own actions. If you happened to meet them, ask if which they treasured most in their hearts “Their money or their fear to their Maker”? You could only convince me that they are not using their money on hidden evil purposes if they do it secretly/anonymously but then and again, how did they accumulate their wealth in the first place? Real godly people are just contented with hand to mouth existence for they believed that honest ways and conducts will protect them from any unwanted circumstances in life. Try to observe the rich but ungodly people if they are really happy in life. Most of them are living in a dysfunctional relationship because they love their money more than their own family’s spiritual needs. They never satisfied of what they already have and never stopped doing evil ways without regards to human respect and dignity. Could they sleep soundly without something bothering on their mind and or their physical body? I doubt so!
If you happened to be one of them or maybe someday, tell me honestly if you could really serve God heartily by being a philanthropist, then and only then that I do believed that love of money beyond a definite limit is not the root of evil.

    Posted by bodowan | November 17, 2012, 8:37 am
    • Wow,I am only saying that money is neutral and if you believe that philantropists are the way you think of them , you are free to think what you like.I am saying MONEY is neutral,it could be use for good and bad purposes. This is also a response for True Abrenian.

  17. Amangan no makaiggem ka laeng ti medyo dakkel nga kuarta, naiyaw-awanen ti panunot mo? Pati ni karrubam nga mangpadpadigo kenka ket dimo payen talyawen ta nakangatngato metten ta tengnged mo. Gastos ditoy, pasikat didiay kadagiti saan mo nga dati nga ar-aramiden ta ammom nga dakes. Ngem…kabsat no KAYAM la ketdi (kayam ngata?)nga usarem kadagiti banag nga pagayatan ti Dios, mamatiak nga not all the time “Money is the root of evil”. Isu nga depende no kasano mo nga napataud wenno usaren dayta nga kuarta, ngem kaadduan na ngamin lalo kadagiti politicians gapu iti kuarta pati karurua da naisaldan ken satanas isu nga napataud daytoy nga pagsasarita. Ni pilantropo nga example mo, maybe he has a good or ulterior motive, either way, let alone our God judges him for like what Bodowan says: He is the only one who can read our mind and knows the content of our heart.

  18. People of Abra, let me remind you something.
What Mr. Loreto Seares and David Guzman did to the 45,000 member-consumer is “criminal act”. File a case against them. This is the only way to liberate you from being poor. Should you remain silent, the pain you are suffering now will be the same pain the younger generations to inherit. 45,000 counts of criminal charges will bring “Abra-a-Life”.
