After all the controversial BOD Election, Abra’s electric power supply may be shutdown due to the failure to post security deposit and unpaid electrical bill.
A communication was sent to the National Grid Corp of the Philippines by the Aboitiz Power Renewables Inc. (APRI) stating that they have sent ABRECO, a disconnection notice and demanding the payment of P20,949.809.93 to be paid by September 23, 2012. Failure to pay will result to power disconnection on September 27, 2012.
Abreco Management seems unfazed on this situation according to their FB page post:
“With the help of governor and congresswoman, the management will not allow this to happen. The entire ABRECO workforce has been maximizing its effort to collect and disconnect delinquent consumers to meet its obligation to ABOITIZ. What we are hearing in the news hopefully will be averted. Let’s wait for a positive development tomorrow“
Anyone can imagine if Abra will be thrown in darkness. Electricity is vital to everyone’s survival in this modern world. Maybe it’s time for the consumers to rise up to this occasion and demand a clean-up of ABRECO.
